Cathy Moser, Ph.D., C.Psych.
Dr. Moser is a Clinical Psychologist with a private practice in Winnipeg.   She has been practicing as a Psychologist since 1986.  Dr. Moser brings to the practice ten years of experience in the School System and many years of experience in private practice.  As a Clinical Psychologist in a school setting, Dr. Moser had the opportunity to learn how to make changes for children within the school system.  As a result of this experience, she is able to assess the ‘whole’ child, and to provide treatment strategies that incorporates the needs of the child as well as the systems in which s/he functions – school, family, peer relationships, etc. 
Dr. Moser has a special interest in treating adults using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with a short-term solution focused model.  In her practice, she has had the opportunity to treat individuals with Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Addictions (smoking, eating, gambling, etc.), Relationship Issues, and, Separation and Divorce.

Susan Eilers, B.A., D.V.A.T.I.
Susan Eilers is a Professional Art Therapist and a member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association.   Susan works with children and adults of all ages, with a special interest in working with children.  Susan has been able to add a unique contribution to the Therapy Groups that Dr. Moser offers (Anger Management; Coping with Separation and Divorce; Dealing with Teasing and Bullying).   Within Dr. Moser’s practice, Susan specializes in helping children express their feelings through Art while making the behavioural changes that allow them to function better within their classroom, peer group, and family.  Susan is also able to assist children who experience anxiety through a Cognitive Behavioural Program that includes art for more complete expression.

Sharon Goszer Tritt, Ph.D., C.Psych.
Dr. Goszer Tritt is a Clinical Psychologist with an extensive background working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of problems.  She has practiced Psychology for over 20 years, having worked in the school system, the medical system, and within the community.  She has a special interest in the treatment of Anxiety and Depressive Disorders, Stress, Coping with Medical Illnesses, Adolescent Issues, Parenting, Women’s Issues and Grief/Bereavement.  Skilled in a variety of treatment approaches, she has particular expertise with the application of cognitive behavioural principles to mental health problems and issues in daily living.

Michael Ichiyama, Ph.D.
Dr. Ichiyama is a clinical psychologist who recently joined our practice from the U.S.  Prior to joining our practice Dr. Ichiyama worked as a university professor and private practice clinician.  He has most recently worked as a School Psychologist in Winnipeg.  His clinical experiences include working as a therapist in community mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals, university counseling centers, public school systems, and private practice agencies.  Dr. Ichiyama has extensive experience in conducting psychological assessments (children, adolescents, and adults) and treating anxiety and mood disorders using a cognitive-behavioral framework.  He also has specialized training and experience in the practice of sex therapy with individuals and couples.  Dr. Ichiyama has a special interest in supportive group therapy focusing on psychological and cultural issues affecting men.

Lynn Rockman, M.S.W., R.S.W.
Lynn is a Registered Social Worker who has over 30 years experience in individual, couples, group, and family therapy.   Areas that Lynn specializes in treating include Depression, Stress (Workplace and Interpersonal), Marital Therapy, and, Relationship Issues.  She also has training and experience in working with both children and adults who have Eating Disorders.   Lynn is a lecturer in the Department of Family Medicine, Undergraduate Education, at the University of Manitoba.

Dawn Hanson, M.A., C.S.C.
Dawn Hanson is a School Psychologist that has been practicing for over 25 years, working with all types of children with a variety of emotional issues and Learning Disabilities.  She has extensive experience assessing and treating children with academic and behavioural challenges.  Dawn is also trained in and is an accredited practitioner and leader of the Triple P Positive Parenting Groups.  She has run a number of parenting groups, and is an invaluable resource for parents in successfully navigating through the journey of parenting.

Bev Vargo, B.Edcn. Ph.D., C.Psych.,
Dr. Vargo is a Developmental Psychologist with many years experience in the School System.  Not only does she currently practice as a School Psychologist in the Pembina Trails School Division, she has first hand knowledge of Assessing and Treating children with academic problems through her training as a teacher.  Dr. Vargo has a Bachelor of Education Degree as well as a Doctorate in Psychology.  She has experience as an elementary school teacher, and has worked as a Psychologist for the past fifteen years.  Her areas of interest include Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Peer Relations, and Parent Education and Support.

Darcy Lyn Cantin, M.A., P.A. Candidate
Darcy Cantin is a clinical associate with nine years experience working in a remote northern community with a variety of children, youth and adults with special needs as well as children and families within the child welfare system.   She has extensive experience in the assessment of a wide range of problems (e.g., Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, complex neurological conditions) and in applying unique individualized interventions to address complex behavioural problems.  Darcy has spent the last 4 years working with children and adolescents with severe psychiatric disorders.  She has a special interest in providing intensive in-home parent coaching to address behavioural issues. 

Bonnie Heidebrecht, M.A., C.C.C.
Bonnie Heidebrecht is a Certified Canadian Counselor who has been providing therapy and assessment services to adults, couples, and families for over 10 years. Her clinical experience has included working as a therapist in mental health and addictions agencies, as well as a School Psychologist in the educational system. Bonnie specializes in areas of Loss and Grief, Addictions, Domestic Violence/Abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Self-Esteem, and Parenting Concerns. Bonnie has extensive training and experience in using cognitive behavioural, motivational interviewing, narrative, and solution-focused therapies to assist individuals in her clinical practice. 

Jen Theule, M.A.
Jen Theule is a Clinical Associate who recently joined our practice from Southern Ontario, where she worked with children and families in a community mental health centre. Jen also has training in school psychology and teaches in the School Psychology program at the University of Manitoba. Jen has experience in conducting psychological and developmental assessments of children from preschool through early adulthood. She also has training and experience in working with children and families struggling with issues of anxiety, parenting, attachment, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, self-esteem, and sleeping.

Speech and Language Therapy Services

Danna Kaplan, M.S., CCC-SLP
Danna has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 11 years.  She graduated with her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston in 1996 and has since had the opportunity to work in numerous settings from private practice to public and private schools, hospitals, and nursing and rehabilitation facilities.  She has worked with clients from birth to old age.  Danna's interests include early childhood development, autism spectrum disorders, and swallowing disorders.

Peggy Alto, M.S.C., S-LP(C)
Peggy Alto is a Speech Language-Pathologist with 14 years of experience working with both preschool and school age children.  She spent 10 years working within the school setting, assessing and providing both individual and group therapy  to children. 

Ramona Thomson, M.A., S-LP (C)
Ramona Thomson is a Speech-Language Pathologist with 8 years of experience working with preschool and school age children along with adults.  She spent one year working in a hospital setting and five years within the school setting, assessing and providing both individual and group therapy to children.
